About Department : 

   The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 1990. Initially it started B.Sc. (Computer Science ) Optional  programme.  The department has sufficient infrastructure and laboratories with Wi-Fi connectivity and departmental Library. Department has separate staff-room for teaching faculty & separate UPS backup room with 20 dry batteries. Department has 6 well equipped and furnished Computer labs with LAN facility.
     There are 02 faculty members actively engaged in the teaching and extension activities. The department runs a value added course and lecture series for UG students. Every year on   28th February, the department celebrates  National Science Day to commemorate discovery of the 'Raman Effect', which led to Indian scientist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman , also various activities  such as coding competition , quiz  competitions and  poster presentation are organized for UG students on that day.    
    The department aims to providing quality education in computer science through graduate programme. Teachers impart confidence among the students to make themselves experts in the field of computers. Teachers are constantly devising interesting methods such as expert lectures, seminars , workshops , value added , add On  and certificate  courses . Department offers campus interview and placement services to students. Most of our alumni is holding responsible positions in prestigious fields.Since its inception, the department has maintained its academic standards.

Objectives :

    To teach students lifelong learning skills, which will allow them to successfully adapt to evolving technologies throughout their professional careers.
    To teach students effective teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills that enable them to work with others effectively in their professional careers.
    To prepare students to function ethically and responsibly, and to be conscious of ethical, social, global, legal, security and professional issues related to computing.
