The Department of Economics is well-known Department of the college. Social Reformer and educationist Hon. Dr. N. D. Patil worked as professor in department of economics. He devoted his entire life to upliftment of farmers, farm labourer and downtrodden peoples in society. He honored by D.Litt. by Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Swami Ramananda Tirth University, Nanded and Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He was cooperative minister, State legislative assembly of Maharashtra. Eminent personalities Prof. B. K. Patil, Prof. S. K. Kulkarni, Prof. Dr. M. N. Shinde, and Prof. A. S. Salunkhe worked as faculty in department of Economics.
Department of Economics run UG & PG Program in Economics. The alumni of department of Economics working in various fields like professor, PSI, Banking officer, STI etc. In present, five faculty members actively engaged in the department.
