Q1. What are the library working hours?
👉 The library is open from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm on all working days.
Q2. How can I become a member of the library?
👉 All bonafide students, faculty and staff of the college are automatically members. Visitors need special permission.
Q3. How many books can I borrow at a time?
👉 Students can borrow 2 books for 7 days and faculty members can borrow more as per library rules.
Q4. Can I renew a book after the due date?
👉 Yes, if the book is not reserved by another user, it can be renewed. Overdue books may attract a fine.
Q5. What if I lose or damage a book?
👉 The member has to replace the same book or pay the cost as per library policy.
Q6. Does the library provide internet and Wi-Fi facility?
👉 Yes, the library provides internet browsing and free Wi-Fi for study and research.
Q7. Can I photocopy or print documents in the library?
👉 Yes, the library provides Xerox, printing and scanning facilities at nominal charges.
Q8. How can I find a book in the library?
👉 You can search using Web OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) or ask at the circulation desk for help.
Q9. What is the Reference Section used for?
👉 The Reference Section contains dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks and competitive exam guides which can be used only inside the library.
Q10. Does the library provide e-resources?
👉 Yes, through INFLIBNET–NLIST and other databases, users can access thousands of e-journals and e-books.
Q11. Are newspapers and magazines available?
👉 Yes, the library subscribes to 10 newspapers and 64 journals/magazines for current awareness.
Q12. What is the fine for late return of books?
👉 A nominal fine is charged per day for each overdue book as per library rules.
Q13. Can outsiders use the library?
👉 Only with prior permission of the Principal/Librarian. Priority is given to students and staff of the college.
Q14. How can I know about new books in the library?
👉 A New Arrivals Section displays recently added books. Notices are also circulated.
Q15. Does the library have a reading room facility?
👉 Yes, there is a separate reading room for students and another for staff. Extra hours are provided during examinations.
